This is a German bisque-head doll made for the French market -- Mold #7, by Heinrich Handwerck and Simon & Halbig. She has a most-sought-after high-quality tailed wig, which is ORIGINAL to her, and an exquisite ORIGINAL dress with amazing pleats and yards of lace.
The dress is so amazing, and there are layers of undergarments beneath it, as you see pictured. Everything is original to this beauty except her hat, shoes, and socks. The leather shoes are of the antique button-up type.
The body is clearly marked Heinrich Handwerck on the back. This is NOT an Excelsior body. She was definitely a high-end doll -- a unique and amazing centerpiece for your collection.
Her face, makeup, wig -- she's a work of art. You dont come across a doll like this very often. At least I havent, and I frequent a lot of doll auctions. The following prop(s) are not included: DOLL STAND. Incredible ravishing condition -- from a non-smoking environment.
The dress has a few melting issues on bodice and a small one on sleeve, which are stabilized, as clearly shown in photos. Her body is in original condition -- lovely. Her bisque head has no flaws, cracks, or hairlines. The above is my good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind that vintage/antique items always show their age. It would be impossible to mention every tiny detail, so please expect that there will be something about this item (or lot) that's not perfect and may need touch-up. I'LL BE GLAD TO ANSWER.
If you live in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, or U. These countries have more flexible Priority Post options, but it depends on the size and value of the item you're purchasing. And provided the items can travel safely in the same box.
Opens in a separate window/tab. As often happens, it's the few bad apples out there who ruin it for the rest of us. Not knowing what they're doing. And then, when they realize they've ruined the doll, they return it saying it was defective.
BUT HAVING SAID ALL THAT.. I do bend over backwards, attempting to disclose any noteworthy condition issues I can find or think of. But these are antique and vintage dolls -- so, please understand that they won't be in brand-new condition. There will always be some minor indication of their age, and it would be impossible to itemize every single pinhead-size stain on the outfit, or hairline scratch on the body. Please expect these types of conditions with old dolls.
