19 inch tall doll, circa the second half of the 19th century, was created by Emile Douillet in Paris, France. He was irector for the Jumeau firm. This doll has a bisque socket head and her original composition and wood body.
She has blue glass paperweight set eyes and a closed mouth with a white space between the lips. She also retains her original cork pate and a wonderful human hair wig. The head, incised E7D, is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The body is sturdy with the original finish.
I adore the character face of this rarely seen doll. Great price on this rare doll. Condition as shown, see title for more information. Please look carefully at the photos. They are a large part of the description. Never a reserve, makes it very interesting.
