This wonderful doll is 19 1/2 inches tall. She was made in 1887 by Henri Delcroix in Paris, France. He was a little known doll maker and this doll is of a very. She has a pressed bisque socket head; closed mouth; and fixed gorgeous blue paperweight eyes.
She is well marked on the back of her head (see photo). She has no hairlines; chips or repainting as examined by a black light. She has a tiny crack in the finish on her left hand between the thumb and the fore finger. The tips of her right hand fingers have wear. The body has some wear as expected with a doll of this age but the body has it original finish and is in generally good condition.
The word,'Paris' is written in pencil on the bottom of her left foot. I think she has her original red bead earrings. She has her original French style cork pate and blonde mohair wig. She has dark brown leather shoes and dark red striped socks that appear to be original. She has three pieces of lace trimmed cotton vintage underwear.
Her dress is vintage style lace trimmed cotton in red/beige print. Her lace trimmed bonnet is vintage. A wonderful example of a French BeBe.From my home to yours.
