By KESTNER - circa: 1987 - 1909. This doll is from a smoke free home and has no odors. Oh yes, you are cute! And oh yes, you are the perfect size!
This antique German bisque doll is 13 inches. Her bisque does not have any hairlines as examined by a black light. She does have a rim crack on the front of the head; however it is not a hairline, just a crack in the rim from firing.
She has blue glass sleep eyes and two upper teeth in an open mouth. There is no flaws of the bisque. Being a child doll, she does not have pierced ears.
Her facial painting is very good. Her head is marked- "B Made in Germany 6". For reference to this mark, see page #74 in the'Dictionary Of Doll Marks' by Jean Bach.
She has her original blonde wig but is missing hair in spots. Her body has it's original finish with no repainting as examined by a black light. Notice the back of the left lower leg - it has a repaired crack and someone put some sort of tape on the leg. I have not tried to take off the adhesive. She wears an antique straw hat; antique leather boots (too big) and socks; lace trimmed pantaloons; lace trimmed under blouse; and a newer lace timed and crocheted cotton dress.
She is a darling doll. I just love the face. From our home to yours. Don't forget to add me on as a favorite.
