This antique doll was made by the Handwerck factory in Germany around 1900. She has a perfect bisque head-no chips, cracks or hairlines.
I have lit the head to be certain. Her head is incised on back "79, then Germany, then Handwerck". Her ears are pierced and she is wearing brass earrings that I believe are original. She stands 14 tall and has a ball-jointed composition body that is in good condition.
She is missing a thumb on her left hand and the 3rd finger on her right hand. She is well strung, not loose. Her dress is off-white with a very faint print of pink flowers on it, and it is "ruched" on the front with delicate lace on each side and around her wrists. She has newer white tights and off-white one tie shoes. Her bonnet matches her dress.
She is wearing (I believe) her original brown mohair wig which is in good condition. The item "Antique Handwerck Bisque Head Doll-Perfect Head-Nice!
