For your consideration is this beautiful antique bisque head doll. She is 17 tall and has a swivel bisque head on a shoulder plate.
The head is marked only "51/8" and sometimes attributed to Simon & Halbig. She's an early doll and has the most beautiful "oily" bisque with perfect coloring.
Her blonde mohair wig appears to be org. She has pierced ears, heavily feathered painted brows, and brown sleep glass eyes. Her lashes are finely hand. Painted and she has an open mouth with more hard to find SQUARE teeth.
She has a double chin and a dimple in her chin. There is one small wig pull in the back of her head above her number mark. This doll is a beauty! Her bisque shoulder plate has a leather lined socket to hold the head. Kid body in good condition.
Her lower arms are bisque with riveted joints and on her right hand, her thumb is chipped off and her pointer finger is chipped (pcs not incl). She's wearing an ivory and red windowpane patterned dress. She isn't wearing undergarments, although she does have antique black shoes.
