She has an open mouth, with four upper teeth. She is on her original wood & composition body, fully-jointed, with jointed wrists and original finish. She stands at 16 tall. She wears a nice mohair blond wig, in a short style. She wears a white cotton dress with lace trim and a large overlay over the bodice.A blue ribbon ties around the waist, matching a smaller ribbon tied in a bow in her hair. Underneath goes a white cotton slip with lace trim, and a matching pair of pantaloons. She wears white cotton socks, and a pair of blue faux leather shoes. MARKS: C made in Germany 164 [back of head, incised]. GERMANY 1 [red stamp, on back of torso]. Lovely creamy bisque with expert painting of features, very crisp modeling, pleasant color, lovely large eyes and a sweet expression. The head is free of hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration. The bisque is particularly-pale, with a smooth finish and great overall presentation. Glass eyes sleep well, and have nice pupil alignment.
The body is original, with the all-original finish and varnish. The left leg has been repainted, but has no other issues. The back of the torso has the original GERMANY mark, typical of Kestner bodies. The body is fully jointed, and has good stringing, which allows for good pose-ability. The costume is good, and has nice presentation.
