Antique Simon Halbig mold 164, sometimes referred to as the "Burmese" doll. She isn't perfect, but she's a fabulous, desirable doll that any one would love to own. This doll is 18 inches tall and has a bisque head and org. The head has been professionally restored and very well done, visible only via black light or by looking into her socket head. Inside the head, along the rim, is a slight chip.
And painted feathered brows, black painted lashes and brown glass sleep eyes. Her mouth is slightly pouty (not the typical open mouth on a bisque) and she has a row of upper teeth. The back of her head is marked 28 ///164. This is commonly known as a Simon Halbig doll. Ball jointed doll body that retains the org.
Finish and strung very well. There may be a repair to her left foot. The black wig is a replacement and her kimono is newer, but made from antique materials.
