Offered for sale is a Gibson Girl by the Kestner Company. The doll is 17 inches tall on a fully articulated leather body. The body is the original adult body that came with this head. She has sleeping blue eyes and finely painted features typical of Kestner dolls. She is dressed as a made in antique fabrics. The black dress is printed with a fine chain stripe pattern. The apron is white cotton with an edging that has a black woven dot pattern. The cap is white cotton with tiny pleated edging. The light brown mohair wig is original. She has antique shoes and underwear.

The head is marked 172 over a 3. The body is marked with a Kestner sticker. The body has some some soil and wear.

All bisque parts have no breaks chips nor cracks. This doll is the more unusual middle size.
