Antique circa 1890 French Bebe Jumeau 27 bisque socket head doll, with red stamp on back of head, depose tete jumeau 12 and artists initials, with v ery large b ulging blue glass paperweight inset eyes, lushly painted dark curly lashes of varying length, incised eyeliner wide brush stroked and multi-feathered brows, accent dots at eye corners and sculpted nostrils, closed mouth, accented lips, heart shaped upper lip, impressed dimples at corners of mouth, pierced ears, brown human hair wig-over-cork pate. Head is attached to French composition and wooden jointed body with originaI spiral spring neck attachment. Head has been lighted to check head for any defects along with eyes and none were found.
There are tiny w ear marks in earring attachment holes. Her dress is made with vintage red material with lots of lace trim and small tied red bows, and a large beige bow on back of dress. Her bonnet was made to match beautiful dress. Her black antique doll shoes are marked RS on sole of shoes and the number 11. Her pink socks are vintage.
Body marks are blue and besides Bebe jumeau & Bte SGDG the last line is not readable. Body has a few dents and flakes its generally excellent.
