Very rare Antique 20 Theodor Recknagel German doll. Theodor Recknagel who was born in 1860 and died in 1930, began his porcelain factory in 1886, which was located in Alexandrienthal, near Thüringia, Germany. Theodor Recknagel brings you this adorable character doll, looking oh so adorable in her burgundy costume.

She stands at 20 on her original fully-jointed wood and composition body with original factory finish.

MARKS: R 86 A 6 (back of head, incised). CONDITION: The bisque head is free of any hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration, with wonderful molding and painting of a delightful character face.

Her glass eyes sleep well, and are aligned well in the head in original factory setting. The fully-jointed wood and composition body has retained all original finish with light wear.
